Dementia is characterized as a general decline in cognitive ability severe enough that interferes with daily activities.
The most common type of dementia is Alzheimer’s disease accounting for 60-80% of the cases. To date, there is no drug that can cure dementia; as an alternative to drug-based therapies, there are studies suggesting that some behavioral activities could protect against dementia. In this project, we aim to identify lifestyle factors that are causally associated with dementia, by analyzing longitudinal datasets using data mining techniques.
